A hologram is a medium that records light interference patterns on film to reproduce the 3D information of an object.
WHAT IS
HOLOGRAM
Holography is a technology that records and reproduces the 3D information of an object using light interference, and a hologram is the result.
The name combines the Greek words holos (whole) and gram (record): it records not only the intensity of light but also its direction and phase.
HOW IT

A laser shines directly on a real object to record it.
The texture and depth of the object are recorded as they are and reproduced in 3D within the film.
DIGITAL
HOLOGRAM
3D data is computed and recorded onto film without a physical object.
Shapes, sizes and colors that do not exist in reality can be made in 3D.
